Who: Paige Winterbourne and Corso Riggs What: Talking about things When: Thursday evening Where: Corso’s place Warnings: TBD Status: Closed/On-going
It wasn’t usually Paige showing up on the doorstep without any warning. In fact, it had never been her. It was always him showing up with the very best of intentions and a smile that honestly just killed her every time. It was always Corso offering help or just checking in or asking her to travel back in time to walk around New York City. Except he hadn’t stopped by in a while, it might actually have been since that trip if she thought about it, and it was Paige’s turn to be concerned. It was her turn to just stop by. Which wasn’t as easy for her to do when he lived in an apartment and had two kids to worry about but she made her way over anyway.
The kids had been left at home, she’d bribed Briar into watching them for a little while, and she was a woman on a mission.
“Hey,” she said, deliberately trying to not be awkward about it. “I was starting to wonder if you’d disappeared on me. It’s been a little while since I saw you.” And sure she was busy with the kids and the trying to work and the mercilessly teasing Adam about thinking proposing to her had been a good idea, but she’d definitely missed him being a part of all of it. She didn’t even need to talk it out with a friend to know that meant something.
