"She's a toddler," Sonya answered, as though it explained everything-which it likely did. Cassie carefully rushed over to Sonya's side. "She'll get hurt running along a carpeted floor."
Which was really something that took a long time to get used to. Cassie may've mastered walking and running, but anything like coordination was still a learning process.
She nodded, trying to recall where she'd seen the woman. Now that the girl was with her, she could afford to properly look at the woman and found she was able to recognize her to a degree. "And you're Johanna..I think we met when that beast was roaming around."
Easier to recall someone when it was a more serious encounter than the usual party.
