Evie, Mal & Carlos
"Yeah. The middle of the park after getting chased by a three-headed monster dog or something," Carlos grumbled, but he wasn't really complaining. It was kind of fun having something different, something a little dangerous. It reminded him of the good parts of home. Few as those were.
"Okay. Let's do this; if we get chased I only have to outrun you guys." And that he could definitely do. Carlos wasn't a lot of things but he was fast and he did know that his girls could take care of themselves, and of him, so he was good. They were good. They'd be back, hopefully, in time for dinner.
Which was important too; he didn't want to leave Dude on his own for too long. His dog got lonely.
