Diana was grateful for the fact that the power was back -- the hospital had been in an upheaval because of it, and that was pretty much the last thing you wanted when you were trying to take care of patients. Everything was fine now, though, and they'd made sure that all the patients were alright as well -- or at least as alright as they could be. And that meant that the staff had finally settled their nerves.
It was her day off and she was taking advantage of it to get out and be a normal teenage girl for once, not an adult with a job and responsibilities. (Because ew, responsibilities.) She'd go back to that later. Right then, it'd been shopping for things she didn't need but really really liked and food that wasn't at all good for her but that she really really liked.
See? Teenage girl.
She sat at a table in Jendry's, happily nomming her way through a slice of pizza and reading something or other on her phone, doing nothing in particular. It was a good day. A day she didn't get anymore. She missed these days.
