“I’m sure even if it sounds weird, you probably have people who hate hearing it for whatever reason.” You always had someone who had to be different. Even if it was over something so stupid, you always had that one person wanting to be all difficult. “Yeah, two of my friends from back in my world have been here for a while. One longer than the other, but still both been here for quite a bit before I showed up.” And it was still weird more so with Birkhoff only because she had talked to him before showing up here, then to hear he had been here for a bit.
Nikita could tell from the body language the girl was still trying to figure this out and probably just wanted to go home, which she couldn’t blame Violet. “At times. This place isn’t exactly normal. I mean not that long ago we had some crazy not so normal weather going on and then another point we had future kids show up.” When she made the comment about family, she debated the right way to answer. “Two of my friends are here who are my family. My friends were the only family I really had, but you do make new friends here and start like a family relationship with people. It’s complicated and hard at first, but it slowly gets easier. Does that make you feel at all better?” She asked, hopeful.
