To say that Violet was confused by him would have been a massive understatement. He seemed innately dangerous, yet she didn't feel threatened now that he'd lowered his weapon. Her eyebrows rose considerably when he opened his duffel to stow said weapon, since it was filled with what appeared to be enough for a small army. Or a one man army. She couldn't help but be curious about what he was coming from, though she didn't think it was her place to ask.
"Metroville doesn't seem to exist in this world. I tried looking for it." That had been a can of worms she wasn't interested in looking at again or even talking about because that line of questioning wasn't going to be productive. At all. "And I don't think anyone's been to Indiana voluntarily. Especially not a town like this. It's...quiet here."
She felt bad for him in a way. He'd clearly been on some kind of mission and now he was just here. He seemed polite, aside from the gun, so Violet decided she couldn't just let him stand out in the hallway loaded up like some kind of kamikaze soldier or whatever. She opened her door a bit more and stepped to the side.
"Do you want to come in? I don't have much, but I can make you a sandwich or some coffee? I'll tell you as much as I know about this place." Admittedly, it wasn't much, but he seemed like the sort who would appreciate information.
