Jane glanced up at him from her book. "I know." She shifted to put her hand over his, oddly comforted by the cold. Lizbet was giving her a bit more tolerance to it and she was grateful that she was able to do so without too many issues. She was still careful, more so now. Being pregnant was eye opening in a lot of ways.
"It still sucks though." It still wasn't fair. Life wasn't fair though, she knew that by now in spades, so it was a hollow complaint. It wasn't like Eva was here for her to convince Ty to get a divorce and it also wasn't that simple. She'd probably be worse off if the woman was in Madison. "I never really thought about getting married before. It was just never an option, you know? I had my career and then there was Thor and...well. It just wasn't a thing, but with Lizbet, I want it all now." And it wasn't in the cards again, when she wanted it.
"It's alright though. The important thing is that she's got parents who love her." It was just a piece of paper like he said.
