Rey had been in Madison for nearly a year now. In that time she had learned a lot about this world she now lived in but she still felt like she needed to learn more. There was so much she didn't know yet and she didn't want to keep asking people things. Some people didn't like it when you asked what they thought were stupid questions and she didn't want to continually bother her friends with them. There was the internet for things but she'd quickly discovered that not everything found on there was true. Book however could be trusted a little more so she had decided to pick up a few in an attempt to broaden her horizons.
The book shop wasn't as busy as she'd thought it might be but that wasn't a bad thing as it meant she could browse things a little easier without getting in anyone's way. There were a few people in the store and she found herself wondering if they were refugees like her that wanted to learn a little more about the place they'd all been trapped. It was entirely possible of course that some of them were locals merely looking for a new book to read. Rey smiled at anyone that looked her way, not wanting to be rude at all.
She walked into the section that housed the books about film and tv. It was an area that she knew little about. She'd watched a few movies in her time here but there were so many it was a little hard to know which ones were worth watching and which might be a waste of time. Rey picked up a large book, 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die, it seemed like a good place to start at least. The book was a little heavy and she was trying to turn it over when it slipped out of her hand, tumbling to the floor with a rather large thump. "Damn," she muttered, bending down to pick it up, inspecting it for any damage and making sure she had a better hold on it this time.
