Hotaru had really been hoping that the rain would clear up by the time she had to leave from school. Unfortunately, like the overly cheery weather lady said "He must be awful sad with all this rain" because it just kept coming down. The raven haired girl stared outside, backpack slung over her shoulders, a large umbrella in hand, and dressed in her rain coat along with a pair of rain boots. She knew she was more prepared for the situation than most of her classmates, but that didn't make her feel any better about having to go out in it. Still, it didn't look like it would be stopping any time soon and if she waited too long to go, it would start getting dark too. No, she had to just do it and hope for the best.
Another sigh and the raven haired girl had her hood up and propped open the door with a booted foot to open her umbrella. It was a mess out and as she started the trek, it became all the more clearer than inside was probably the best place for everyone to be. The weather woman also said something about deep puddles, but Hotaru felt like that was probably some type of exaggeration. How deep could a puddle be? And then, Hotaru accidentally stepped in one and found herself up to her waist in water. Not to mention, she was soak and wet and hand almost tripped, splashing herself in the face with dirty water. Yuck.
