Who: Tony DiNozzo and Mary Campbell What: Drinks, meeting new people When: Evening Where: Electric Lady Warnings: Low, probably Status: Closed/In Progress
There were only so many hours Tony could spend thinking about what he was going to do for work in this place. Knowing there was no more NCIS, hell, seeing Gibbs doing something different, was hard to get used to. But DiNozzo's did not complain, and he was just going to have to make the best of it. There was no alternative. Gibbs wouldn't be very impressed if he decided not to make an effort, and that alone was motivation enough for Tony. He hated disappointing him.
He also didn't want to start leaning on the other man too much, and the last thing he wanted to do was wear out his welcome by stopping by for dinner too often. That, coupled with a desire to actually meet a few new people in person, had him finding somewhere to have a couple of drinks. All that talking on the computer might have worked for the probester, but Tony had always preferred something more organic.
Electric Lady seemed to be a pretty good choice, all things considered. Not necessarily his usual style, but the music was decent enough. Wandering in, he considered a few of the free tables before dismissing them in favour of the bar. That was always the best way to get to talking to someone.
