For her, the lack of trust came from all the people she dealt with over the years, the mental hospitals, and the list dragged on when it came to Lorna. Unlike with Eric, it took her a while but she had found people who she could count on and trust. The people she called her family were the only ones she could count on and it’s the reason why she’d do anything for them. Even if that meant looking like a monster in their eyes to protect them.
“I won’t argue with you on that,” and she wouldn’t since it’d be wrong when she did it herself. Her choices came with protecting her species, her family, and she wouldn’t change any of her choices because she knew the outcome would be horrible if she hadn’t made the choices that she had.
At least he was agreeing with what she wanted since Lorna didn’t need to worry about that. “My daughter told me from what she heard from me it gets bad so I’m not counting on you to stop all of it, but at least lessen the damage I might cause.” Lorna wasn’t even sure how bad it was going to get, which was mainly the reason she wasn’t putting the pressure on him. Why couldn’t he just agree to the saving her baby over her? Lorna really wasn’t wanting to talk about this, hating the thought of not being around for her baby, but she also knew it had to be something she prepared for just in case.
“According to my daughter the labor is a rough one. I almost don’t make it; however, I ended up pulling through. In case somehow I changed the future, I need to know whatever goes down my baby comes first. She deserves the chance to have a life no matter what.” Lorna knew she had made horrible choices, and she was not going to have anything happen to Dawn no matter what. Her kid came first and she needed to make sure she’d be saved over Lorna if she somehow managed to fuck up the future.
