Who: Joshua and Liz Hutner What: questions about blood work Where: The clinic When: Monday evening Warnings: possible mention of old-world beliefs Status: open
This place was full of wonders; not all of it good of course, some of them were rather silly, but for the most part the advances Joshua had witnessed just proved that man was indeed capable of great and good things when they tried. Of course, he knew from experience that man was capable of much as evil as well as good, but just what he'd seen at the clinic, they were just as capable of healing as much as himself.
He supposed such knowledge should've made him feel obsolete, but instead he felt less alone-and further more, he felt curious about such progress. The knowledge of blood donating for example. He was so used to blood spills being taboo..unclean, and dangerous..and yet these people found a way to keep others from dying for loss of it.
The clinic was the place where he would get such information. He could've read up on the information himself, but he would've rather hear it from an actual person, especially one with hands-on knowledge. Books were good and all, but it would've been more to the point if he asked an actual person. He'd been there to take the blood test after all, it was the condition they required before he was permitted to work at the shelter (though for reasons he wasn't entirely comfortable with, but it was a necessary evil). Even so, they only collected a small amount, even he knew it wasn't enough to give to a person. They also didn't say anything about the specifics of blood work.
No, it was better he spoke with a doctor or one of their assistants. He was able to go there soon after his shift ended at the shelter, stopping at the front desk.
"Good evening," He greeted the woman. "I'm curious about donating blood. You know who I could speak to about it?"
