Warning: None
Upon she had one future child present with Kenny, part of her hoped he would be the only one arriving for her at this point. While she had never thought of a possible relationship with Kenny, she imagined there had to be some sort of wacky universe where they ended up together. Regardless, the boy was sweet, loved her macaroni and cheese recipe, and was a lot like his dad outside of a few tell tale signs that were all Melissa...including basic circle casting abilities. It posed a problem, but so far, Tony was keeping it under control and Melissa had already volunteered to help him if needed.
So currently, she was settled at the kitchen table, flipped through a magazine and attempting to relax before Tony popped in again with the full intention of looking for another snack. And there came the ominous knock at the door and Melissa’s finger frozen right in the middle of turning the next page. It couldn’t happen a second time could it? Frowning, she pushed back her chair and padded towards the door, once more taking a peek in the peephole just to check. It was another child...and there were obvious, physical similarities to Melissa too. Oh boy.
Unlocking the door, she was once more immediately bombarded with a hug that almost sent her crashing to the floor. “Hey mom one. Where is mom two?” Mom two? Melissa frowned. She was not into the same sex, but apparently, in the future, it had come to pass. “I don’t suppose you could enlighten me on the ‘mom two’ part?” The young boy frowned, but indulged Melissa nevertheless with a name. “It’s Tea silly.” Tea? Tea, seriously. Though the boy was still clinging to her, she managed to slip her hand into the pocket of her jeans and extract her phone long enough to send a message to Tea, even getting the child’s name (Cody) before sending it off.

Tea had gotten Nona and Luca settled down in the Sunroom with all the other little ones and headed upstairs to chat with her teenage daughter when she got the text from Melissa.
“Here we go again. Looks like you have another brother” She told Ronnie with a laugh, reaching her hand out to pat the girl on the shoulder when she saw the look on her face. “I know, I know, you hate it because you’re not used to sharing me. Curse the dome out when I leave”
She gave the girl a hug then headed out of what use to be Jo’s room and went downstairs. “Hey there Cody” She said with a smile, kneeling down to the boy’s level. “Things are going to be a little different than what you’re used to, alright? The dome is playing tricks on everyone again” She wanted to let him know upfront what was going on because she was all about honesty.

Melissa was still stunned that her and Tea had a kid in some weird future. It was strange. Obviously, Tea took the whole thing in stride, going up to the boy, kneeling down to his level and explaining that the situation was going to be a hell of a lot different than what he was use to and it was. For one, there were a lot more kids in the house than he was probably used to and they would all be strangers to him since some of them wouldn’t exist if Tea and Melissa had gotten together. Melissa did feel bad for him; the entire situation had to be overwhelming.
However, Cody actually shrugged his shoulders. “Of course it’s being weird again, mom,” Cody exclaimed. “Sometimes we get weird kids showing up to from different futures. Hey, do you think some of them are here? Could I hang out with them?” He looked expectantly from Melissa and then back to Tea. Honestly, Melissa didn’t see the problem with it. To think this craziness still happened in Cody’s version was...a lot to take in.
“I don’t see why not,” Melissa offered, reaching out to ruffle the boy’s hair. “I think Mom two would be cool with it. Wouldn’t you, mom two?”

Tea smiled when he shrugged it off. “Spoken like a true Madison Valley kid” She said as she stood now. Now that that was handled, she moved away from him to get a sneak for herself as they talked. She’d eaten hours ago and wrestling her two little ones to sleep always made her hungry. “Sounds like a great idea to me. I’m not sure who’s all here yet so how about we hop on the Network tomorrow and find out? Tonight it can be just the three of us and whatever kids are still up, how about that?” She suggested as she put a bag of popcorn in the microwave for all of them to share.

Tea made a good point. They didn’t know who was here yet. It was probably best they wait till tomorrow morning and see what the network had to offer. Melissa believed that if Cody was here and some of Tea’s other kids, than the whole town was probably being invaded, but it was good to see just who had decided to invade it before letting Cody go wild.
“I guess that would be okay…” Cody did look disappointed and Melissa felt bad for him, but at the sight of his mom heating up some popcorn, he perked up. “Are we going to watch movies together? I want to stay up till midnight with you guys.”
***
“Hey don’t be disappointed. It’s just late and a lot of kids are sleeping now, like my two in there” She said, pointing to the sun room. They would have to set up two more cots now for Tony and Cody but that wouldn’t be a problem. It was big enough to fit all of them in there. She smiled when he perked up, happy to go along with what he was thinking they were going to do just to cheer him up. “We sure are” She said, looking to Melissa for a moment before she looked down to their son. “How about Transformers?” She would have to text Carm to let her know she wouldn’t be back upstairs for a while but that wouldn’t be a problem.
***
Melissa did feel bad for Cody, but Tea was right. A lot of the future kids would probably be sleeping at this point. And when Tea agreed about watching movies together, Melissa sighed in relief and Cody just beamed which made Melissa’s heart swell too. Yes, keeping Cody happy seemed like a good strategy at the moment given he couldn’t be with the other kids. “I’m more than okay with Transformers,” Melissa replied quickly just as the popcorn went off. Using her telekinesis, she opened a cabinet and retrieved a large bowl for them too.
“I’ll even let you have a little pop, okay?” Melissa opened the fridge and retrieved the large bottle Coke and unscrewed the top to pour him a small glass.

When the bowl came over to her, she reached out and grabbed it. “Thanks Mel” She set it on the counter and poured the popcorn into it, loading it up with salt and seasonings to make it delicious.”Pop and popcorn. You’re a lucky guy” She said to Cody with a smile, giving his hair a ruffle before she grabbed the popcorn bowl and headed into the living room where both cats were laying on the couch. “Looks like we have company” She said with a smile, moving in to put the popcorn on the coffee table before she sat down on the couch.
***
Melissa made sure to pour herself a glass and Tea too before moving to follow the other woman into the living room. The cats (of course!) had made themselves at home on the couch already and grumpily they did allow the silly humans to sit. Melissa settled beside Cody. “How kind of them to give us a few inches of space on the couch,” Melissa commented, watching Cody reach out and attempt to pet a cat who actually made an effort to pull its head out of the boy’s reach. Cats. They could serious be so standoffish all the time.
Using telekinesis, Melissa shifted the Bluray version of Transformers into the player. “Everyone ready?”

“Don’t be such a bastard, Nacho” She told her cat as she reached over and picked him up. She didn’t care about watching her language around her children because they would hear it in the real so why shelter them? Her two younger ones swore like a sailor and she had no problem with it. While Melissa got the movie ready, Tea made it so Cody could pet Nacho while she held him. It worked for a few moments then he wanted nothing to do with it and wiggle to get away from her. “I tried” She told him with a laugh as she settled down beside him. “We’re ready”
