Who: Veronica Mars-Rogers and Georgina Kincaid + kids What: Meeting over coffee Where: Starbucks When: Friday late morning Warnings: nope Status: started in gdocs; will continue in comments
No matter how pregnant she was, Veronica wasn’t about to skip the one cup of coffee she was permitted each day. And since she was limited to one cup, she made sure it was the best possible cup. Steve and Bucky might be content to drink sludge, but she wasn’t so she waddled to Starbucks every day and spent an hour savoring the precious liquid.
Today, she had Lilly with her. Her daughter was bright and hilarious and she was enjoying getting to know the girl. Seeing how well adjusted she was eased a lot of Veronica’s concerns about her impending motherhood. Clearly she didn’t screw up too badly, even if the baby she was currently carrying wasn’t Lilly, so she had the capability of raising a child.
After they got their drinks, she scanned the shop, looking for a table where they could sit and enjoy them.

Georgina was still ecstatic over the entire situation currently happening in Madison Valley. Not only did she have one child, but four, and she was making the most of it for as long as she could. It had been her dream for centuries to be a mother, and she’d never thought this might actually be possible. Somehow - it was.
At the moment, she had Cosette and Jinger with, the two youngest girls, and was treating them to small (decaf) frappuccinos since they were practically milkshakes, while she herself drank a larger toasted white chocolate mocha. When she spotted a pregnant woman with another daughter looking for a place to sit, she waved a hand.
“You can join us, if you like.”

“Thank you,” Veronica said, sinking into the empty seat with a relieved sigh. Her feet seemed to swell if she walked more than ten steps these days and it was making it rather difficult to keep up with her very active daughter.
Lilly sat down with her hot chocolate and immediately started talking to the other young girls. Veronica wasn’t entirely sure if she knew them from the future or if it was just one of those things where kids gravitated towards each other.
After a sip of her drink, she said, “I’m Veronica. This is Lilly.”

Georgina offered a smile in return. “I”m Georgina and this is Cosette and Jinger,” she replied. Studying Veronica, she nodded lightly towards her stomach. “You must be exhausted right now, between your little one and another coming along. You’re definitely welcome to sit with us.”
Who was she to deny anyone coffee?

Exhausted was pretty much Veronica’s entire state of being these days. At least that’s what it felt like. She was not particularly enjoying pregnancy and would be glad when it was all over. “Luckily, we didn’t end up with too many extras at our house,” she said. At least not as many as in years past.
She took another sip of coffee, taking care not to gulp it since it was the only cup she would have today. “It’s making me miss the days when I could drink a whole pot, that’s for sure.”

“Oh so she’s…” Georgina trailed off so as to not alarm the girls, but nodded her understanding. “Mine, too. And two more at home.” She hadn’t had any problem letting all four girls stay with her. It was pretty fantastic, in her book.
Smiling in sympathy at Veronica’s words, she gave a little nod. “Hopefully you don’t have too much longer, at least?”

Before Veronica could answer the question, Lilly piped up. "I time traveled," she said. "My sisters are so young!" Summer and Molly were still cool though.
Veronica laughed. "Yeah, she's not usually here, but our teenage daughters are having fun spoiling her." She rubbed her free hand over her stomach. "And this one is due in a few weeks." They still had no idea if she was expecting Lilly or Keith or some child they had yet to meet. Of course, regardless of the baby's sex, they would likely use the names of the future children they had met.
