STATUS: Closed/Completed gdoc
Of all the weird shit that the Dome put them through, kids coming from the future or whatever was Kenny's least favorite. He hated kids, didn't want to have any if he could help it, but now he was stuck with them. So far, he already know the kids he had the previous time were here again. He also had a couple more this time around, which sucked.
He was getting food at Hinkles when a little girl came up to him. She said her name was Maya and that he was her dad. Kenny just shrugged and went along with it before asking who her mother was. When she said her name was Georgina, he knew immediately where to go. So after getting his food to go, he lead the way to her place, ignoring Maya's questions about his bruises and scars and other things.
When he got to Georgina's apartment, he knocked on the door. When she answered, Maya ran and hugged her. "Mom!"
Kenny just watched. "So yeah, that's our future kid or other universe kid or some shit. Anyways, later." He turned and headed off, fully intending on just dumping the little girl and leaving her there.

Georgina was in the middle of heating up some leftover spaghetti when she heard the knock at the door, and frowned. She wasn’t expecting anyone, and not a lot of people knew where she lived, but after a moment she just shrugged and walked over to the door. After checking the peep hole and seeing Kenny, she pulled open the door while smiling.
“Hey - whoa,” Georgina explained as a young girl suddenly threw her arms around her. “Mom?” When Kenny started to walk off, she looked up sharply.
“Oh no you don’t. Get back here, Kenny,” she said. “What on earth is going on?”
***
"Yeah, Dad, get back here!" Maya repeated.
"...dammit," Kenny muttered, hoping he'd get to leave before Georgina could stop him. She did, though, and he walked back. He turned to her. "Okay, so you know the Dome does crazy shit, right? Well, this time, it gave us kids from the future or an alternate universe or some shit. Don't worry, it's only for a week." A long, horrible, made him want to blow his brains out week, but a week nonetheless.

Georgina instinctively slipped an arm around the girl and stepped back into the apartment, motioning for Kenny to come with them.
“Kids from another…” She shook her head incredulously, then looked down at Maya. This was insane, mostly because she was a sixteen hundred year old succubus who couldn’t have children. “How is this even possible? You’re really my...daughter?”
***
Kenny just sighed as he walked in, closing the door behind him. As much as he'd like to just leave, he probably should stick around to explain things and make sure they were settled. He could at least do that.
"Yeah. It's happened before. A few of mine from last time came back, plus a couple new ones," he shrugged. He was hoping for less kids this time around, but nope. The stupid Dome gave him more. Oh well. "So hey, maybe you have a couple others too."
Maya, who was still clinging to her mother, looked up at her and nodded. "Yep! You're a cool mom, too. You used to be a spy!" she grinned. She obviously thought that was really awesome. Kenny did too, actually, though he didn't say anything. He just sort of grinned at Georgina.
***
“A ‘few’?” Georgina stared at him, still a little dazed, particularly when she said she might have others. “Really?”
At Maya’s words, she looked down at the girl again and blinked in surprise before shaking her head. “I was?” Sure, in a few of her many lives over the centuries she had occasionally worked as a spy, usually when it was convenient for Hell, but this was different. “How old are you?”
***
"Yep," Kenny shrugged. He was certainly more casual about it, even if he hated kids. But he'd been through this before. Even so, he still would've just shrugged and continued on. He was used to weird shit. "Maybe check the network. There might be some brats looking for you."
Maya grinned. "Yep! You were an awesome spy too!" Her mom had told her awesome stories about her spy days. "I'm 12! And also hungry. Got anything to eat?" she added.
"Oh yeah, you gotta feed them three times a day," Kenny told Georgina. "I thought it was only once, but nope. They get hungry a lot."
***
Georgina gave a short laugh of amazement, then gently nudged Maya towards the kitchen. “Um, yeah. There should be cereal. Or some leftover spaghetti - I just headed some up.” She watched as the preteen walked away, then looked at Kenny again.
“Do they stick around? I mean...is she going to be here permanently?” There was a mixture of hope and longing in her eyes, because she desperately hoped he’d say yes - being a mother was her one real desire in life, after all these centuries.
***
"Spaghetti sounds good. I'll go eat some of that," Maya decided, heading into the kitchen and fixing herself a plate, pretty much making herself at home. And Kenny wondered maybe this was her home in whatever alternate universe she came from. Or maybe she just felt comfortable around him and Georgina.
He shook his head. "No, they're only here for a week or so," he told her. He'd also noticed the look in her eyes. He might not seem like it, but he was pretty perceptive. "You kind of want her to stay, don't you?" he guessed. He didn't want kids, but he knew some people did.
***
Georgina gave a quiet sigh and for a moment, she considered lying and playing it off - but with someone who knew her secret the way Kenny did, she just couldn’t do that. So finally, she gave a slow nod.
“I’ve been around a long time, and I haven’t been human in so long...one thing I can never do is create something. It’s not an ability a Lesser Immortal like me has. A child is something I’ve wanted for centuries...so this is kind of a miracle,” she told him softly.
“She’s pretty amazing.”
***
Kenny was aware that she couldn't have children. He didn't know she had always wanted one, though. Which he disagreed with. He certainly didn't want any kids, not now or ever. And while he didn't understand why anyone would, he decided not to give her grief about it right now.
Instead, he just nodded. "I guess she's not too annoying." Which was his way of saying Maya was an alright kid as far as kids go. "And if you want, maybe she can stay here with you? I already have a houseful anyway, so there might not be much room for her."
***
She had to smile a little at his words, but her face was a little wistful as she glanced towards the kitchen. At Kenny’s offer, she blinked in surprise and looked back at him with a bright smile. “I’d love that, actually. Thanks, Kenny.” She had no idea there were going to be more children running around shortly, but for the moment? She’d relish this opportunity.
