Stuart had never been shy about his aversion to kids. It wasn’t that he didn’t like them, but he didn’t know how to deal with them. He’d spent most of his childhood playing alone, taking computers apart and rebuilding them from scratch. He hadn’t had friends, hadn’t had play dates or sleep overs. He’d been raised by nannies, and as a result kids scared him.
He had no idea what to say to the precocious kid in front of him now. It wasn’t the twins with K-Mart that had been in town once before. This was a new one. And she claimed Weiss was her mother. Which was just awkward. Stuart considered Weiss a good friend, his best friend probably, outside of K-Mart, even though he’d never gotten drunk and arrested with her like he had with Stiles.
But the thought of having a child with her...well, thankfully he knew Madison and the invasion of children didn’t always make logical sense. “Let me just call your mother, then,” Stuart said. He had his phone in his hand. It was just a matter of getting it to the contact screen so he could call Weiss.
