Nikita would do anything for her friends without even a second thought. If they needed her, she’d always have their back and come through even when it was something as simple as figuring out what a kid’s intentions were with his gang and the girl he was dating. Birkhoff had his reasons for feeling the way he did, and she wasn’t going to ignore it, especially since she never ignored her gut feeling on situations. Which was why she had spent the last day deciding the route she wanted to take with this accidental run-in with the kid, Jughead.
Accidental run-ins were her specialty and no one was ever the wiser, but it was even easier here considering it wasn’t like she had to stay in the shadows. Using the information Birkhoff had given her, Nikita knew where she had to be and the time without it being noticeable on what she was doing. Changing into some legging and a jacket, she checked the time to make sure of the time before heading out for a morning jog. With always switching up her route, Nikita knew it wouldn’t seem at all weird about going in a different direction even though she knew no one cared or paid attention. Heading to where Birkhoff said was the best place to bump into Jughead, which was when he was leaving his friend’s house after breakfast. It was never good to have a routine, it allowed people to learn it and use it, which right now it was a good thing this kid had one. Spotting the kid walking towards her, Nikita kept the pace of jogging, not even looking at him as she pretended to be all focused on her job. It wasn’t until he was a bit closer that she shifted her foot slightly to make sure she stumbled enough to look real, but where she knew how to avoid falling. She caught herself before crashing into him, Nikita quickly pulled her earpieces out. “I’m so sorry. I lost my footing and cut you off, my bad,” Giving him an apologetic look as she stepped out of his way. Nikita knew she hadn’t hit him, but the polite thing was to apologize for getting in his way even if she had meant to do just that.
