Anakin was starting to feel cooped up in Madison Valley. It wasn't that he didn't like it here, it was quite the opposite. He didn't feel the urge to turn to the Dark Side here, and he had his wife here. His two children were here as well, even though Leia was more wary of him than Luke was. Not that he blamed her. Not in the slightest. He understood her wariness of him. But that didn't mean he didn't want a relationship with his daughter, he just knew he would have to give her some time.
But he was still feeling cooped up. He hadn't been accustomed to remaining in the same place for extended periods of time. Not since he was eight or nine and he was taken from Tatooine by Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to train as a Jedi. After those first years on Tatooine, he hadn't remained in the same place for more than a few months at a time. So it was all strange to him, being unable to leave.
He had found himself at the edge of the forest, lightsaber in hand. He had brought Artoo with him as well, he found comfort in having the droid around. He thought that maybe he should have asked Luke or someone to come to the forest with him to get some sparring in, but he could handle this on his own. He didn't want to take his mood out on anyone. Especially someone he cared for, like Luke or Padme.
