Kim P & Mason A
Kim rolled her eyes. "Clearly it's just a boy thing," she replied, although she honestly wasn't the least bit annoyed. It was kind of nice to have a sort of reminder of home if she stretched out the logic behind it. Maybe that was silly or foolish, but she felt like she really needed it after everything with Will. Ordinarily, Ron was right there to cheer her up and support her when she made a fool out of herself. She'd been missing him before, but even more so now.
Kim stole another fry as he told her more about St. Vladimir's. It sounded like some kind of training academy specifically for bodyguards but that made it sound like he hadn't had much of a choice in the matter. Sometimes it was just in the opportunities that were available to the parents, but that made her worried that Mason hadn't gotten to have a life or anything.
"Did you get breaks and stuff during school? Or was it just classes all the time? We follow a similar structure to here. Just with Summer break and like a week off in the winter and in the spring for the holidays." It dawned on her halfway through that he wouldn't necessarily know what the structure was here. Kim was trying to figure out if he got to have fun or not. If not, she was fully prepared to start dragging him places so he could experience things. At least as often as his job allowed.
