WHO: Jace Herondale and OPEN (it would be best if it’s someone supernatural because Jace will be glamoured and regular people wouldn’t be able to see him) WHAT: Arriving in Madison Valley WHEN: Tonight WHERE: Downtown WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Jace didn’t like this one bit. He’d arrived and used the device they gave him to post to the network, hoping to learn something about where he was and how he’d arrived here, but all he’d gotten was some strange talk about a ‘dome’ that apparently it was impossible to escape. He wasn’t too worried about that; Jace didn’t really believe anything was really impossible.
He hadn’t remembered going through a portal back home, though, and that was strange. He was used to the strange sensation of portaling, but it wasn’t something you could forget. It wasn’t something you would miss. And yet here he was, apparently in Indiana of all places, with no recollection of getting here. He’d been training at the Institute with Clary, and then suddenly he was here. Strange.
Thankfully, the fact that he was training also meant that he’d arrived here armed. In addition to three seraph blades, he also had a dagger and a short sword, as well as a knife tucked into his boot.
Taking out his stele, he drew black runes on his arm. One was to hide him from the eyes of mundanes. One was to allow him to see for longer distances than he normally could. And one was for sure-footedness, since he didn’t want to be dodging the people on the street who couldn’t see him. The rooftops seemed to be a much better vantage point.
Climbing the building easily, Jace sat on the roof of a building overlooking Main Street, his booted feet dangling over the edge. He watched the shoppers pass hurriedly by below, and was unsurprised to discover that a good number of them were not mundanes. There were werewolves, vampires, people with Sight...and much to his dismay, creatures he didn’t even recognize.
He sighed, checking his phone occasionally as he watched below, trying to figure out exactly how he’d gotten himself in this mess.
