Who: Paige Winterbourne and Corso Riggs What: Dinner and definitely not a date after all When: Sunday evening (backdated) Where: A Restaurant Warnings: TBD Status: Closed/On-going
Paige had been all set to tell Corso she couldn’t go to dinner when he’d asked her right up until he’d said Sunday. He couldn’t possibly have meant it to be a date on a Sunday night. Sunday night dinner was for family and friends, not for admittedly kind of attractive men who were so endearing that she almost wanted to say yes to a date. Paige was still married, still loved her husband and still wore her ring even though he’d been gone for months, and she wasn’t completely opposed to the idea of moving on but she hadn’t really thought about it beyond being dragged to speed dating. She didn’t know if she wanted to yet.
So dinner with a friend it was.
She’d insisted on meeting him there, letting him pick her up was too many mixed signals and besides, she didn’t want to explain to Adam why a handsome man was picking her up for dinner. Easier to say she was going to meet a friend and leave it at that. She made a little bit of an effort to look nice, though, managed to tame her hair into something presentable and put on some mascara and a skirt that didn’t have some sort of baby stain on it, and she was smiling when she joined him at the restaurant.
“Hey. Thanks for getting me out of the house.” She had little enough chance to get free of the kids for a few hours and while she didn’t really mind being stuck with them all the time, she loved them more than anything, it was nice to get away for a little.
