Who: Sally and Open Where: the Casino Why: Because she's bored What: exploring Warnings: Little? Status: OTA In progress
Sally was settling in slowly. It was still a world that was vastly different than hers and she was often thrown off balance by it. But she was managing. She'd made a few friends, she thought, and that was helpful for her. She moved easily through the crowds now, comfortable among people, no one really noticed her anyway. Which was good for her.
She'd gone to explore the Casino. She'd heard about it and wanted to know what such a place was all about. It wasn't what she'd expected - she'd expected something like Oogie's lair. This was tame and much easier to handle in the long run. She was pleased. Games of chance weren't really her thing, but she could appreciate them in a different light now.
She was doing great until someone made a snide comment about her blue skin and scars and she cringed back. She wasn't ashamed of how she looked, in fact she loved how she looked. But people were still cruel and it hurt a little. She couldn't help the stitch marks around her throat, her identical to autopsy scars and the ones around her arms and legs. She bumped into someone as she tried to avoid the one who'd made the snide remark.
