Who: Phil Coulson and Jean Grey What: Kitchen bonding When: Saturday evening Where: The house Warnings: None Status: Closed/On-going
It'd been a long day at work and Phil was going to be glad to get home and relax with his family. And it was still strange to think that he had an actual family. Strange and a little scary and absolutely wonderful. Not something he'd ever seen himself having, but also something he could no longer see himself living without. Kitty, Klara, and Jean pretty much meant the world to him.
No, he didn't know Jean as well, but that didn't mean anything. She was still part of his family. Admittedly, she was the part he needed to get to know better, but even so. Part of it nonetheless.
His shoes were the first thing to go after he got into the house, his coat getting thrown over a chair and his suit jacket joining it right after -- he'd pick them up in a bit and actually put them where they belonged, but right then? He was heading to the kitchen because okay, hungry. He'd forgotten to eat lunch -- yes Kate he can hear you yelling at him -- and his body was reminding him of the fact. But as soon as he reached the kitchen, he saw Jean at the kitchen table, leafing through what he quickly realized was one of his cookbooks.
"Hey, kiddo," he greeted, barely breaking stride as he headed for the fridge. "You looking for a specific recipe or just kind of getting an idea for something?"
