In truth, Elizabeth wasn't sure if her message would get any response. Logically, she knew there shouldn't be a reason for her doubts; there were plenty of people skilled in the art of combat, surely one of them would know how to use a sword. That she actually had to schedule some for sparing matches was well indeed.
She was especially looking forward to her match with Ms. Griffin, however it was the day after her post; at the very least, she didn't have to worry about classes that day after work. Fun as it would be to instruct Dagny in the various ways to attack someone with different swords, for now, she genuinely wished for a sparing match. That was why she settled it as she had.
She had changed from her usual clothes to her sparing clothes; a long tunic and exercise trousers, and waited for the young lady at one of the smaller rooms in the fight school, one already fitted with safety mats. There were various standing targets around, but she was more interested in going against a living person; she had though, make the concession to use a blunted training sword instead of a real one. Without any idea as to Ms. Griffin's training, it was better to be safe than sorry.
