Meeting of Future Family (Han and Luke)
Who: Luke and Han What: Talking more Where: Lou's When: Thusday the 8th Warnings: None I hope
Luke knew this was going to be interesting and different. Han was the way he was when they'd first met-cocky, self centered and behind a rough shell. It had taken him and Leia some time to break through that, to begin to see the man inside, the heroic, good-hearted man who would come to love his family fiercely and put everything he could into helping Leia get the New Republic off the ground. The man who had been worn down by the loss of Chewie and young Anakin and who was trying to help his family put itself back together after the Yuzhaan Vong war, even if he'd run away for a while along the way. The man he'd come to love as a big brother and who had been there for him so many times, just as he had for Han and Leia. This Han wouldn't even believe in the Force yet-that had been something that had essentially been thrust at him head on over the years between seeing what Luke was capable of and chasing after three Force-sensitive toddlers later on.
That was, if this was even the same Han. Luke had no way to know for sure, unless Han spoke of things that maybe happened differently than he'd told of before or that Luke had been there for. Either way, he knew Han had evolved a lot in both timelines. Luke would just try his best to judge what he should tell and what he should keep quiet about for now. He was figuring on holding back some of the info about the war and the losses, since it might not even happen to this Han, but regardless, some was going to be tough to take in and Luke knew Han well enough to expect it.
Luke wasn't a big alcohol drinker himself, but he did sometimes have a drink with Han, and he was okay with a drink or two. He just didn't let himself get drunk like Han occasionally did, due to feeling it interfered with his Force connection in a way and that it wasn't a proper example for his students. Jedi and alcohol could be a dangerous mix if something went wrong.
He waited for Han, able to sense him coming even now.
