"He stopped by the clinic the other day," Carson said. "Adrian... wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of you and me together, because of my age."
He'd be the first to admit that they were a strange, random pairing -- but he was also a little convinced that that was part of why they worked. The fact that they'd been friends first and for so long was another part, of course. That was probably the biggest part.
"He wasn't pushy and telling me to stop seeing you or anything," Carson assured Lissa. "He was just... confused and a little disapproving." But he could deal with that.
