WHO: Han Solo and OPEN WHAT: Exploring WHEN: Thursday morning WHERE: By the Fountain WARNINGS: TBD, probably low STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Han had never seen any place like this before. He'd been to a handful of planets since escaping Corellia, but none of them compared to this place in the slightest. It seemed so...clean. So safe. And Han didn't trust it even one bit. Places like this, in his experience, simply didn't exist. The nicer and safer some place looked, the more dangers that hid in the shadows. As nice as it was, and despite the fact they'd given him more money than he'd ever held in his life...well, he was suspicious. And waiting for the other shoe to drop. People didn't give things away for free. With everything you were given, something was expected back in return. Altruism didn't exist.
Regardless, he had the money right now. And since he hadn't eaten since arriving here yesterday, he decided to find the market and grab something to eat. It took him a while to find it, because it was quite different to the ones he'd visited before. The food was different too - so many colors and varieties that it nearly overwhelmed him with the number of choices. And, well, the fact that he didn't know what most of it was. That wasn't all that strange, since he was on an alien planet, but he'd just have to grab a few things and wing it. He could decide what he liked by trial and error. Surely it wouldn't be in here in the first place if it would actually hurt him.
He grabbed a few colorful items which seemed to be fruits and vegetables, and some sort of fried meat from the deli that smelled amazing. Then he paid and grabbed his bag, heading from the store and back towards his apartment. As he walked, he couldn't help but stop now and then to look at menus, or to look at merchandise in the windows. This place was definitely going to take some getting used to - if he couldn't get out of here, that was. And he entirely intended to get out of here as fast as he could.
Turning away, he decided to have his lunch beside the fountain instead of in his apartment. It was nice out, and the sunshine felt good. He chose a bench, sat, and took out a red, circular fruit. He'd chosen it for the color, and for the fact that he'd seen a lot of people with them in their carts, but he wasn't exactly sure how to eat it. Shrugging, he decided to just go for it, and sunk his teeth into it, immediately pleased by the sweet and juicy flavor. Seeing someone walking by, he called out to them, holding up the bitten fruit.
