"Put the cigarette out," Carson said without even blinking. "Seriously, Adrian, do you not stop to read signs on buildings?"
A sigh. "And she didn't have to tell any of us, you've worked here before. That was fun, wrangling two Spirit users. It was a lot of 'No, Lissa, you cannot heal that many people today' and 'Adrian, stop trying to do everything ever, you cannot handle that much'. The staff pretty much pulled their hair out on a daily basis with you two around."
He couldn't help smiling fondly, though. Adrian had been good. And dedicated.
