K-Mart knew she didn't have to be friends with her husband's friends. Of course she didn't. But she was at least vaguely friends with Raven, for one thing. And she was friendly with Weiss. But she liked the other girl, and they wanted to hang out more, their schedules were just crappy and didn't usually let it work out. But today it had actually worked out, and K-Mart had taken advantage of that to invite Weiss to lunch at Hinkles. it wasn't fancy or even necessarily the best of fast restaurants, but it was fast, so if either of them needed to dart off, it worked for them.
She'd run a couple errands for Kristof and Piper -- she didn't usually do errands for them, not when she didn't have the kids, anyway, but she was happy to help out when she was needed because they'd been so good to her -- and now she was heading for lunch while hoping she wasn't running late.
"Hi," she said with a grin as she slid into the booth. "I didn't keep you waiting or anything, didn't I?"
