"I've only been out here a couple of times," he said with a shrug, "But no, I've never seen anyone. But I wonder if that's the barrier's doing. It wouldn't be that strange to imagine that we're seeing what it wants us to see."
He crossed his arms, his stance confident and thoughtful.
"Well, it's obvious that sheer force isn't going to get through it. And you've tried sympathy. But there has to be a way. Everything that's created can be destroyed, somehow. Everything that's locked can be opened."
But he was going to have to think on it, see if he could find some books. Do some research. Maybe he could find something about gates of energy that would show him the weakness in what at the moment appeared to be unbreakable.
"I'll...do some research," he said. "See what I can find." He looked over at him, a smile making him look closer to his years than he usually did. "I'll love to learn how to reproduce this. It would be great for my protective devices."
