With the experience in the wild west behind her (mostly), Caitlin was attempting to settle back into normal, daily life. Not that many parts of Caitlin's life could actually qualify as "normal" and it had nothing to do with her brief life in the wild west last week. Being part of someone else, Killer Frost, was always going to place her in the meta-human category and being unable to, at times, control that other side of herself? That put her in the dangerous category. She had come to terms with some parts of who she was now because it was not going to change. True, she could have reversed the effects of her abilities with the serum, but she did not take it. In fact, she gave it back to Julian because she had wanted to come to some sort of feeling of "okay" within herself. She'd found some control in the wake, but it was only partial and that could always change and change quickly.
Hopefully today would not be that day. She still missed Barry a lot, but she was coming to terms with him leaving and the others not being here. She did have some familiar faces from her world even if she didn't exactly talk to all of them (Lisa to be exact) and it helped. She was also settling in at her job at the clinic and it made a lot of difference that she could help people again despite her loss of control a month of so ago. They had let her stay on and Caitlin was determined to not let them down and right now, running late seemed to be the winning way to do that.
"Oh my God. I'm so sorry," Caitlin apologized quickly. In her rush to exit the Starbucks and try to be "less" late she had almost run into a young man standing outside and now she was a flushing, flustered mess. Great. She could hear Killer Frost laughing at her blubbering idiocy now. Awkward Caitlin Snow almost spills coffee on some random guy. Great moves, Dr.
