Delirium was very excited about brownies. Partly because they were brownies, partly because they were a free thing that she was getting, and partly because she was getting to meet a new person in a new place to get brownies, and who wouldn't love that?
"We're going to get free brownies!" she said to the fairy who was perched on her shoulder; it was, appropriately, of the type known as a brownie. It had appeared there out of Del's desire to have someone to be excited with, and would probably disappear just as quickly once she got distracted.
Del was somewhat surprised to find that Monty's was a car clinic; she'd been expecting a bar or restaurant for some reason. Maybe because it seemed like a more reasonable place for someone to be giving out brownies. She wondered, hopefully, whether the brownies would be in the shapes of car parts, like wheels and wrenches and carburetors.
Delirium was excited enough that she was there only a little bit after the clinic opened. She knocked on the door politely. The brownie on her shoulder had, as predicted, disappeared.
