Hiccup had slept well for probably the first time since Astrid had been sent home, so much so that he honestly thought it was her when he registered someone curled up in his arms. He held her all the tighter and nosed at her hair but it was then that he remembered the past week. Of being married to Star and calling her such as a term of endearment. Hiccup opened his eyes to register that he was, in fact, in bed with Star. He was very relieved to realize that they were both clothed, since he really didn't like Star that way. Except being married to her had been kind of fun.

He shook his head to rid himself of those sorts of thoughts. Hiccup knew he wasn't ready for a relationship and he valued his friendship with Star too much to risk anything of the sort. Her guardians were probably wondering where she was, too, so he very gently shook her.

"Star? Um...I think it's probably time to get up." He winced, feeling very awkward about this whole thing. Hopefully no one would be angry with him.

	Star made a face and did her best to burrow further into the blankets at first when he tried to wake her up. Waking up usually meant starting chores...or going to school? Which was it? She finally opened her eyes and yawned. "Henry? OH MY GOSH HICCUP!" She yanked sheets up over her head with a squeak. (Reply to this) (Thread)

This time, his wince was very much because of the volume of her voice and Hiccup felt very badly that they were in this situation even though it wasn't even slightly his fault. It was very clear that she was uncomfortable so he hastily shut his eyes and climbed out of bed, where he promptly fell on the floor because his metal leg wasn't attached. He hadn't needed it because he'd had both his feet in that time period. How odd.

"Um. Should I just. I mean, I can just stay here. I think I still have some of Astrid's things but you're welcome to any of the clothes you find so you don't have to go home in your nightgown." The same nightgown he'd had no problem pushing up around her hips. Hiccup shook his head and forced himself to think of Gobber and Snotlout and just anyone to stop his train of thought right in it's tracks. He'd never had sex with anyone and a weeklong dream wasn't going to change that fact.

It was ridiculous, she was wearing a damn nightgown that covered her from neck to ankle so she shouldn't be uncomfortable. It was just she could remember what they did in that nightgown and OH MY GOD she had to stop thinking.

"Are you okay?" She peeked back out when she heard him fall down. She didn't want him to get hurt. "I mean I'm fine. I'm dressed. CRAP! Where's my wand?" That called for her getting up and digging through the bedding to see if she'd lost it in the bed.

"I'm okay," he promised, even though he was super embarrassed. "I just wasn't expecting to not have my foot. I'm alright." He heard her digging around the bed and chanced opening his eyes to at least get his bearings.

"Um. I'm not sure if your wand is even here. It might be in your room with your things." Hiccup didn't really know anything about wands or anything like that, definitely didn't always understand her magic spells, but he was pretty sure she needed her wand to be able to do anything. "Can you...call it to you? Maybe?" Anything to make her feel better. He felt pretty crappy right now.

"I forgot you were supposed to not have a foot. You had both of them for a while there." She gave up on digging for the wand and pushed her hair back over her shoulders. It felt a little weird to be wearing it down and loose but she ignored it.

"No, well maybe but I don't really need it to do stuff I just don't want other people getting a hold of it. It can be really bad if a bad person picks it up and uses it. It's also easier to do things if I have it, less dipping down and more channeling." She shrugged and scooted to the edge of the bed while keeping everything covered with the nightgown.

He glanced up at her when she scooted over to the edge of the bed and tried to give her a reassuring smile. Hiccup knew this was super weird and he wasn't sure how to make it better.

"We can check the living room," he offered. "Maybe it's out there instead of in here is all." They wouldn't know until the looked, anyway. "I can um. I can pull out some clothes for you and I might have some food for breakfast. I haven't really been cooking all that much but I think I have some eggs." It was weird to be able to buy them instead of having to collect them, but he usually always had eggs.

"And I can braid your hair if you want." He knew she didn't like having it down. He just wasn't sure if she wanted him anywhere close enough to touch her just yet.

She just, she remembered the things they did while they were married which meant Star kept getting embarrassed and trying to turn red and really trying not to think of that sort of thing.

"Maybe it is." She wouldn't know for sure if the wand wasn't there until she looked everywhere. "And I don't mind if you braid my hair but I don't like you like that." She made a face since she'd sort of blurted the last part out.

"I mean, I don't want to be mean or anything but no kissing or anything."

Hiccup winced, but more so because it was so blunt as opposed to something more delicate. "I don't- I mean, I'm not-" He shook his head, both his hands up as if to say he surrendered. "I don't feel that way about you, Star. I mean, I appreciate how helpful you've been with Stormfly and Toothless. Please don't think I'm not grateful. I just- You're my friend. That's all."

He loved Astrid, still felt strongly about his betrothed, so it was hard for him to imagine being intimate with anyone, never mind being in a relationship or married to someone who wasn't her.

"Maybe we should change first." Hiccup got up and went to his dresser to pull out some clothing options, which was a mix of his sweatpants and one of Astrid's shirts, along with Astrid's underthings. He held out the neat pile of clothes to her. "You can use the bathroom," he offered kindly.

"Oh good because you're my friend too and that's all." Well Star was nothing if not direct. At least a person tended to always know where they stood with her. But hearing he just thought of her as a friend was a relief. There wouldn't be any awkward other than the memories of how much more they'd been that would like to pop up and make her feel like crawling under a table and dying once in a while.

"Thanks. I'll be out in a minute." She took the stack of clothes to go change in the bathroom. It would be so much easier if she had her wand because she could just use it to fix her hair and clothes all at the same time. Getting dressed without it was such a bother!

Hiccup was glad that they were on the same page, although he knew it wouldn't be that simple. Intimate relationships were never simple and he really wanted to be able to have time alone to process everything. He wouldn't be able to simply forget about it like it had never happened. It had and if he was going to continue a friendship with her, he was going to have to get past it.

While she went to get changed, Hiccup went to the kitchen to start making breakfast. Even if she just wanted to take it to go, that would be fine. It just didn't feel right sending her on her way without anything. Hopefully their friendship wouldn't suffer because of what the Dome had done to them.
