"It's everyone's dream to be that happy," Roxas said, the closest he felt he could get to implying that he hoped he could make her as happy as Lucas made Riley. He knew the job at the railroad meant he wasn't an ideal match for anyone, since he'd be away so often, but he also knew it meant he'd be able to provide well for a family.
Those large, lofty ideas of making a family someday seemed somewhat far away in the moment, though. He found himself concentrating on the steps again, but not so much to keep from stumbling anymore; now he was concentrating to try and keep his mind away from how close Emily was to him, how pretty she looked in her dress, how happy it made him when she smiled or blushed, how soft her hands felt against his hand and arm. He ventured a single compliment, hoping it was appropriate. "You look lovely tonight." Then he blushed and added, "As always, of course." Then he blushed more.
