With the tensions that had been going on in town, Chris had been on high alert at work. When you worked for the gunsmith, it just made sense. But now everything was over and the day was done, so he could let himself relax. And that meant drinking at the saloon. He didn't drink to the point of stupid, when he chose to indulge beyond a drink or two from the bottles he had at home, but he did enjoy having a good drink or three in good company sometimes.
The atmosphere in the saloon seemed a little lighter tonight, though that might've just been him. Either way, he knew that at least he was in a better mood as he sat there, sipping his drink and occasionally flirting lightly with one of the saloon girls. An uneventful evening, but one of the more perfect ways he could think of to pass the time considering that he wasn't married. (And he would never not find it incredibly strange that his half-brother, who was by far the more disreputable of the two, was the one who'd gotten married.)
Shaking his head, he glanced over as someone took a seat next to him. He was a marginally polite sort of person, so he gave them a nod.
