She knew she shouldn't be out here, but, she wanted to run errands while her husband was working. He was a cook and he worked hard, and she felt he deserved a good meal when he got home that he didn't have to cook himself. So she took Cady, the child being well behaved for her age, and headed to the stores. They lived in town, so she felt safe enough to be out and about, and to be honest, she was not the type the murderer had been tracking: she had bright red hair for once, and while she was of slender build, she was almost too slender.
She was in a soft blue dress today, her daughter in a similar dress and bonnet, and she was having her help carry the small bag of purchases. She left Cady to carry the fabric they'd purchased while Llew held onto the sugar and flour she'd acquired. She had a chicken she'd butchered at the home, and fresh veggies too, so it was just some simple things she needed.
She reached out to grab Cady, "Hush little one. I'll buy you a candy in a moment." she promised, penny candies were a treat and she didn't really cave to such a thing. But today felt like a good time to splurge on the child. "Perhaps we'll stop and see your father too." she grinned softly.
