Who: Cassandra Sandsmark and Timothy Drake Wayne
When: Monday
Where: Town
What: Attempts at wooing~
Warnings: Probably none!
Status: Closed/In-Progress
Tim was completely and utterly smitten with the Cassandra Sandsmark, almost from the moment that he first laid eyes on her all those weeks ago. She was the prettiest young woman that he'd ever laid eyes on which meant, of course, that she was the perfect potential wife. He set out to court her, arranging a few 'chance' meetings at the start to introduce himself and get to know her somewhat better. His father was the town lawyer so her certainly felt he had a high station in town. It had stung a bit to discover that her aunt was a Brothel whore, but what helped was that her mother hadn't been one as well.
Once he'd deemed her suitable for courtship, he began to purchase small gifts and trinkets to show Miss Sandsmark that he was serious in his pursuit of her hand. Tim had enlisted in both his father's assistance and their butler's to find the perfect gifts for her. Chocolates, flowers, ribbons. He even found a few books of love poems that he'd gifted her in the hopes it would inspire similar feelings toward him.
Today's gift was a fan, newly purchased just earlier that day and wrapped for her amusement. Tim left work to be there for her when she got out of school. He waited across the street, gift in hand as well as with fresh flowers, for her to exit the schoolhouse.

It wasn’t that Cassie didn’t like Tim. In fact, she found him to be terribly charming. His gifts were the sweetest gestures and, on more than one occasion, Cassie had proudly worn the ribbons. The chocolates had been passed along to her aunt, though. With a quick change in card and tags, she wrote them as tokens from another admirer. Even a few of the flowers as well. Cassie enjoyed seeing her aunt’s face light up with surprise when she presented them to her after all.
It also kept Tim’s insatiable need to gift her everything well-fed. She had assured him that such things weren’t necessary. Cassie was always grateful, though. You never turned down such a gift as her mother would tell her.
Bidding farewell to one of her classmates as she would be on her way to the tailor, Cassie paused for a moment when she caught sight of Tim. She could feel herself blush, trying not to immediately fuss with her hair or clothing, before crossing the street to greet him. Cassie, of course, wore one of the ribbons in her hair that he had given her. A pale blue one with lace. It was her favorite by far.
“Good afternoon, Timothy.”

Tim grinned, maybe a little more on the cocky side, as she headed his way. There was always a worry that she'd walk the other way and pretend she hadn't seen him. He'd gotten a little less worried about it as the weeks progressed and that didn't happen, but he still wasn't entirely sure about her feelings for him. Each gift, maybe two or three each week of varying expense, never seemed to earn him any higher level of excitement. While it was proper for young ladies to be very demure, he definitely wanted a little more.
"Good afternoon, Cassandra," he replied, pleased that she'd used his first name. That meant - in his mind - that he could use her's as well. Tim definitely liked being able to be more informal with her. "May I escort you home?" he asked, holding out his arm as he shifted to her side. He'd easily take her school books too if she'd let him.

Clutching her books against her, Cassie considered the offer. It wouldn't be terrible to have the company, but she wasn't sure what else it would entail. Cassie did like Tim. More than she had since their first exchange and meeting. He was very eager to impress her, which was all well and good.
To be honest, Cassie didn't need such things. She had never been the material type even if her mother had been. Cassie merely wanted to do a little more in the world and for the people in it. It was why she had continued her studies while also working at the tailor.
Still, Cassie took his arm and balanced the books in her other arm. "I'll be going to help Mrs. Hendrickson and Ms. Luthor before I go home. Do you mind if we go there?"
