"So, I just let her keep going?" Mal made a face and frowned. "That sounds so...weird. So wrong." Somehow, though, it also made sense. "Do I keep checking in with her? Keep reaching out to her?" She didn't want Evie to think she was abandoning her. Her friend had had enough of that in her life. Especially lately.
"Being evil is so much easier than being good," she groaned. That didn't necessarily mean that Mal wouldn't care about Evie's well being of course. It just meant that she would go about taking care of the situation differently.
Maybe even sprout some wings and go chomping through the town. There was a brief flash of green in her eyes and Mal quickly closed them tight. The last thing either of them needed was for her to go into dragon mode in the middle of the Fair.
