Jessica Jones and Kate Bishop
Before now, Jessica had not experienced much interaction with Kate, but she could tell the woman was in a mood similar to her own most of the time and the fair was not helping to improve it. Jessica hadn't come here with the intention of this place brightening her mood or giving her a better view on being social at all. She'd come because beer was cheap and she didn't feel like making a liquor store run at the moment. Everything else didn't matter much, but it was obvious that Kate had been meaning to talk to her for some time now.
The comment through her off and Jessica paused, cup in hand, and looked over at the woman curiously if not a bit suspiciously. "And exactly what the hell are you going to tell me?" Jessica asked; the beer had done noting to eliminate the sarcasm from her tone. It rarely did though. Part of her didn't want to know what this young woman was about to tell her and part of her did. She had never met Kate before now so it was highly unlikely that it was personal or something that had to do with the world Jessica had come from.
And no. Jessica had not gotten that "schpeel" yet. It was completely new territory and she looked at the young woman for a moment, saying nothing. A version of her? Seriously? Well why the fuck not? People had face twins or whatever walking around here, didn't they? Why not "versions" too? "You did, did you? Never thought this world liked me enough to have me a feature in two place."
