Briar & Cassie
Briar usually slipped into the fair for reasons very unlike everyone else's. He did it because the crowds of people reminded him of back home, the streets of Hajra, and it was the one place and the one time that he could keep his skills sharp. He couldn't very well go around Madison Valley picking pockets and wouldn't want to, but he didn't want to lose those abilities either. He did things like slip through Maya's window at night to keep with that part but picking pockets was an art.
He'd managed to take, and return, a few wallets when he spotted her. The girl from school that he'd run off with a couple of weeks back, and with a grin he fell into step behind her.
And tugged her hair once before falling into step beside her. "Cassie, ain't it?"
