Padme & Anakin
It always made her happy when she managed to coax a smile out of her husband. She knew it was a rarity for him and really only happened in the presence of certain people. It meant so much to Padme that she qualified for one of those special people. His words also sounded sincere and Padme believed him. She knew it was difficult for him with Leia, but she had faith that her daughter would attempt to get to know Anakin as he was now.
"I believe you," she replied, nudging him playfully with her shoulder. "But I also know it's a hard situation. For both of you. There is a lot history there, history you haven't lived, but for her, she has. It's a lot to get over." People could easily equate Padme's situation with Leia's in a way and not understand why she didn't find it more difficult to be around her husband. But Padme's love for Anakin was unconditional and she knew when he did what he did that wasn't him. That wasn't the young boy with a kind, giving heart that had sacrificed everything to help them all those years ago or the young man that had confessed his love to her even after years of being apart. She knew the real Anakin.
"I have faith in Leia. I believe she will give you a chance and want to know you, Anakin."
