Birkhoff & Mal
Birkhoff was a bit worried about Mal. He tended to be more hands off with her because she was more of an adult than he was half the time. But she was worried about her friend and needed some time with him for a distraction, he guessed. It was at least a good opportunity to spend some time with her because they needed it every so often. The Fair was fine enough for a setting and Birkhoff had already spent an absurd amount of money on tickets for the games and rides.
"Alright, what do you think about starting with some of the rides?" he asked as he found her again after buying yet another stack of tickets for them to use. "This should last us for at least a dozen of them before I've got to grab another booklet." And Birkhoff definitely didn't mind that at all because Mal was worth spending money on.
