Caroline Forbes & Open
Having arrived only four days before, Caroline was still adjusting to being in Madison Valley. While the two people who had "greeted" her upon her arrival had told her everything she needed to know, mostly anyway, she had to figure out certain essentials...like how to find a blood supply. While the obvious choice to any vampire would be the people walking around Madison Valley, Caroline had sworn off feeding from the living breathing variety since her first few days as a member of the undead club. She only fed off of blood bags now. The only thing she could do to obtain them was compel the staff at the hospital.
Which she did and they had loaded her up decently well, but she also had to compel them to forget who she was and where the blood had gone to. She accomplished this-she'd always had a knack with her compulsion-and made it seem that the hospital called in a decent sized order. Unfortunately, she was not sure how long she could keep this up without someone finding out about her. Anyway, it was done for the moment and now, with only a thousand dollars to her name, Caroline was going to have to find a job, but then the fair came to town through the supposed "unbreakable" barrier and well, Caroline decided, after much debate, to at least see what it had to offer on the last day.
It was definitely no fun going without her friends and as she wandered aimlessly, spotting groups of friends, couples together, she felt that loss more than ever. Sighing, she finally gave in and purchased a bag of popcorn and found a place to sit on the grass just as the fireworks were about to start. It had felt like a waste of a day and Caroline was thinking more and more she should have just spent the majority of it in the bar instead.
