Padme & Anakin
The arrival of Leia had certainly been shocking to Padme. She didn't understand how Madison Valley fully operated, but she hadn't experienced such a rapid return of someone. Regardless, Padme was simply happy to see her daughter here again. Madison Valley had gifted her with another opportunity to become better acquainted with Leia and she fully intended to take advantage of the opportunity. However, she knew it would be much more difficult for Anakin. Leia had only known her father as Vadar, the man that had stolen much of the joy out of her life and been a murderer. It would take time for the two of them to be more than what that relationship offered; Padme only hoped they could be.
Even so, Anakin had asked about going to the fair before knowing of Leia's arrival and Padme still believed it was something they should do. It would give them time to talk and maybe offer a little bit of fun in the process. She didn't want to give Anakin any excuse to brood over things that were impossible to change in anyway and that included what happened to Leia in his future. Things could be different here and Padme never gave up hope even when everyone around her believed otherwise.
She'd made sure they arrived early and guaranteed them some funnel cake as they walked around, taking in all that the fair had to offer them. Padme had just taken a sip of water when she reached out and took Anakin's hand in hers and gently squeezed it. "How are you doing?"
