Seeing Bruce grown was a bit startling. Alfred had so many concerns and doubts watching him grow after he had lost his parents. The military did not train you to raise a child, but Alfred always hoped he was doing his very best in the name of the Waynes.
Returning the hug with ease, careful not to drop the bottle in his hand, Alfred gave Bruce's shoulder a squeeze with his free hand.
Perhaps this was a good sign. It was a sign that Bruce survived the decaying Gotham city.
