There wasn’t anything of import going on at Verdant these days. Honestly, everyone was kind of falling apart and Lydia definitely counted herself among those who were. She’d had Thomas as a part of her life since the day she’d arrived in Madison Valley and suddenly not was harder on her than she wanted to admit. She’d cried enough, more than she ever wanted to cry over anyone, but she was struggling to find herself again and that meant trying to bury herself in work and school.
There was only so far ahead she could get in her classes, though, even after adding on a few to take a slightly over-filled course load. So work it was. Which, in today’s case, meant checking out what was less the competition than it was a compliment to the club. She had an idea, and if the place was suitable, maybe she’d pitch it.
