Even though there were no monsters to hunt, Weiss still decided to continue practicing her battle skills as well as Summoning. Sure she had gotten better at it, but she wanted to perfect it. She hadn't had much time to practice, what with running the gelato shop and dealing with the Dome. Today, though, she had a few hours to kill and decided to spend it in the woods practicing.
She had found a clearing in the woods and got to work. She first decided to practice her swordfighting and summoned her faithful knight. He was bright blue and a few feet taller than the average man. Usually he helped her in battle but instead, she'd gotten him to be her sparring partner.
After awhile, she had noticed something in the distance and stopped. The knight stopped as well and stood there while Weiss walked over, spotting a girl around her age.
"Hi," she said. "How long have you been watching?"
*** Ere had been wandering, trying to settle her own mind, when she’d come across Weiss. She swung up into a tree to watch before she saw the woman approach, so she’d swung back down and was now leaning nonchalantly against a tree.
“Mm. Awhile I would imagine. Though I don’t really keep track of time.” she tilted her head at the knight and smirked a little. “He’s interesting.” she commented as she looked back to the woman. Ere was hard to judge some days, today though, she almost exuded curiosity.
*** "I see," Weiss replied with a simple shrug. She didn't mind if the girl had been watching for awhile, she was just curious.
She turned to the knight who still stood completely still. Only Weiss had control over him and if she wanted, she could have him move. But she kept him still for the time being. "Yes. Long story short, I have the ability to summon enemies I've defeated and have them do my bidding. He was one of the first I've slain."
*** Ere pushed off the tree and nodded. “That’s pretty awesome, actually.” she looked at hte knight then back to the woman. “That’s a really interesting ability.” she pushed her hair back as she looked around.
“Do you want a living breathing sparring partner?”
** "Thanks," Weiss said. "It's something I've always been able to do, but I've only recently been able to master it." Well, she hadn't quite mastered it yet but she was definitely a lot better than she had been before.
"Sure, why not," she shrugged. As good as the knight was, he was still under her control. Which meant she knew his every move because it was actually her. That was why she often got her sister to use her Summons whenever she trained.
*** “Still. That's a handy ability.” She smiled at her before nodding. “Wonderful. I always like facing off against new opponents.” She pulled a longer dagger from her hip holster
“Do you prefer weapons or no?” She held up the knife, gesturing so she could either let it go or use it. “Doesn't matter to me either way”
*** "It is. I got kidnapped and locked in a cage, but he was able to help me escape." Seriously, screw Yang's mom. Or Qrow's sister as she was more likely known here. Whatever, Weiss didn't care. There was no love lost between her and Raven.
"Usually weapons," she said, holding up her rapier. "Do you have any powers or magic? If not, I can hold off on using Dust." It wouldn't be fair if the other girl didn't have magic to use when she had Dust.
*** Ere winced in sympathy. Getting caught was never fun. It didn't matter what world you were from. She grinned and spun the knife on her fingers. “I have magic of sorts, what is Dust?” She asked, curious about it.
“If it has to deal with magic, have at “ she tucked the knife away, holding her hand out, her staff coming from the Earth. “If we're including magic I'm all set”
*** "Okay, great." Weiss nodded, glad she could use her Dust and Semblance against this girl. "Dust is basically a source of energy. It comes in different kinds - fire, air, water, earth, lightning, and more. Here, I'll show you real quick." She pointed the end of her sword to the side and moved the revolver holding Dust bullets until it was on a white colored bullet. Seconds later, a large gust of wind come from her sword.
"I can even mix two together." She added a blue bullet and a stream of sharp icicles hit a tree in the distance. She turned to Eretria. "What kind of magic can you do?"
