"That... makes sense" she said brow furrowed then she looked up at Tefe again and lifted a brow. "There's no way that this" she waved a hand at all the life around them, "is peaceful. It's survival, survival isn't pretty." she looked like she thought the idea of peaceful was kind of crazy.
But she saw things a little clearer than others, sometimes.
She sat down and crossed her legs, curling her fingers through the grass. Touching things made it easier for her to listen, or do. She'd learned that as things had started before Allanon left. She closed her eyes and cleared her head. Which was harder than it should have been. She took in a deep breath then slowly let it out.
Listening was hard. Everytime she thought she heard something her attention got pulled by something else. She wrinkled her nose, and after a few minutes her head turned to the side, she'd picked up the sounds of bark being moved by the vine. It wasn't loud, in fact she kept losing it. "I... think.." she said, her voice low and soft. "That vine. I think I hear it." her nose crinkled again as she lost it and she made a little annoyed noise.
