Who: Wil Ohmsford and Susan Pevensie What: Matchup Where: A trail in the forest When: Monday afternoon Warnings: probably not Status: closed/in progress
The recent rash of disappearances had Wil on edge and he'd decided to try and work off some of his anxiety by going for a ride. He didn't have the slightest regret about marrying Amberle when the clock was counting down, but he still worried about one of them being sent home, leaving the other here alone. In some respects, he thought it might be easier for her to handle losing him. She had some solid friends, like Kate, that would be there for her. On the other hand, he hated to think of her going through that pain.
While they were facing the clock, Wil thought it was the worst kind of torture - knowing that they were returning home and being unable to stop it. Now though, he realized he was definitely wrong about that. If he was going to lose Amberle, he wanted a chance to say goodbye. Waking up and finding her gone would be far more painful.
It wasn't likely to be his choice regardless, so he wasn't sure why he was thinking about it so much. They were at the mercy of the whims of the dome or whatever controlled it. He realized how fast they were going and pulled on the reins to slow the horse down, hearing footsteps after he did. "Hello," he called, wanting to make his presence known to whoever was there.
