Who: Lexa and Torvi When: Saturday afternoon What: A random meeting Where: The woods near the river Rating: TBD Status: Closed; Incomplete
Though it was hot outside, Lexa decided to go spend some time in the woods near the river. She figured she could do a little hunting, but there was a bigger reason for the trip. Lexa needed some time away from the house. Her conversation with Bellamy bothered Lexa more than she let on and nature possessed a calming effect on her. She was hoping that being in the forest, surrounded by trees, she might find some comfort and solace. So far, nothing else had managed to completely distract her from that conversation and the way she felt afterwards. It left her feeling as if she might not have come as far from the Grounder ways as she she once believed and she did not like that at all. What came of the conversation reminded Lexa of forming an uneasy truce between herself and an enemy; it felt like the definition of what her relationship had started out as with the Sky people.
Dressed in her traditional leather and furs, Lexa packed up a few supplies and sheathed the sword on her back. Along with the sword, she shouldered a bow and a quiver of arrows. The latter was for hunting, but the sword was for protection. Madison Valley had remained peaceful thus far in Lexa'd stay and yet that didn't mean anything. This town had a habit of throwing random things at all of them and something could easily end up being dangerous. It was best to be prepared as best she could be and since she would be avoiding the locals, no one would be scared or apprehensive at the sight of her weaponry. That conversation with Bellamy also swayed her choice in arming herself; he said he would not attempt anything and Lexa did believe him...mostly. As he did not trust in her, Lexa decided she could not trust in him, at least not completely right now. He had slaughtered Grounders on someone's command before and she wasn't too sure he wouldn't do it again. He did not like her or her people.
She sent off a message to Clarke, letting her know where she was headed, and started off towards the woods. Knowing a few shortcuts, Lexa found herself within the cool depths quickly and she made her way to the river to splash some cold water upon her face. She'd forgone the plastic water bottles in the fridge and took a canteen instead for filling water. Dipping it into the water, she filled the canteen half way and took a sip, looking out at the water.
